Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, studied clarinets as well as cellos and pianos at Hochstein School of Music. Sharp's enthusiasm for performing at the age of 14 led her to the Boston Conservatory where she received a scholarship. After graduating Cum Laude with a B.F.A. Sharp's first focus was the stage. Sharp played in her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Sharp has also performed in Abyssinia as well as Aida in addition to Thunder Knockin Jitney and The Producers. She was even a read in August Wilson's Come and Gone. Sharp has other ideas in the works alongside her productions for screen and stage. She sings as often as she can, and she has an album of her own in production. When she's not working either front of or behind the camera, or working in a studio to record songs, Sharp has a love for fitness, and is always in shape boxing and studying Krav Maga.. She likes piano as well along with hiking, and taking long journeys. Sharp resides within Los Angeles with family.
